There’s something magical about family sessions, especially when they involve capturing milestones as special as a little one’s birthday. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Edwards family again, this time to celebrate Charlotte's (fondly known as Charlie) 2nd birthday. Leslie and her daughter first modeled for me back in May for a charming Anne of Green Gables session, and I was thrilled when Leslie reached out to book another session.

We chose the beautiful and historic Beverly-Harris House in McKinney, Texas, as the perfect backdrop. The house, with its original wood floors and an old-fashioned cast iron stove in the kitchen, created a timeless setting that complemented the love and warmth of this wonderful family.

Charlie was full of energy and joy, running around the house and playing hide and seek with the kind of pure excitement that only a three-year-old can bring. The moments we captured were spontaneous and fun, reflecting the sweet bond between Charlie and her parents.

We ended the session with a sweet cake on the kitchen table, surrounded by the charm of the historic home. It was the perfect way to celebrate Charlotte’s big day, and I felt so honored to be a part of it.
