Kyle + Francis = Happiness

Pure and absolute bliss. It did not matter that we were absolutely frozen, and it was ‘misting’, our hearts were so full and blessed to get to witness such a gorgeous act of love.

Kyle and Francis came to me for couple’s photos last fall. Kyle set up the photo shoot with me through a friend at our work, and as serendipity would have it, Francis and I went to the same high school in Houston! So when Kyle reached out to me in early January that he wanted to hire me out to photograph his proposal to Francis, my boyfriend had to hand me a full box of tissues.

We were terrified it wasn’t going to be perfect after our first location fell through (surprise wedding for the venue), so we ended up at a small park in front of somewhere that was special to both of their hearts: The Mercat Bistro.

Post proposal, a waiter ran out with champagne for the couple, courtesy of the bistro, and we explored the little block with umbrellas and expertly placed flashes thanks to Matthew Freeman! A DPD officer even stopped traffic for us for about 3.5 seconds so we could grab a unique shot with all of the cars. All she said was:

“Love is Love - and I LOVE LOVE!”
