Boudoir Doesn't Mean Naked
Boudoir may be my favorite type of session. It's always stunning, super fun, and an empowering type of photography that can be healing for some people.
I met Jacque through work and when she asked about a boudoir session I jumped at the chance to photograph her! We started super early in the morning to get the best light (and to avoid the heat) and as always it started out a little awkward because it's scary to be half naked in front of a camera. But after a few laughs and maybe a margarita or two, we really got rolling into her shoot!
What is super fun for me as a photographer is that Jacque chose to do 'The Special' session and we were able to go to other locations. After we had photographed in her apartment in The Colony, we ran over to Arbor Hills for a few photos in nature. I totally obsessed over the flowy dress she wore, and we splashed around in the creek for a little bit. It got very hot, and Jacque mentioned she had a super cute Coca-Cola swim suit. So we obviously had to hit the pool.
We get to the pool and it was pretty busy (it was summer time), but we were lucky enough to have a pool that was mostly empty off to the side of the main pool. The swimmers were also kind enough to stay out of the frame most of the time and we got some great photos that had a modern chic feel!
Boudoir doesn't have to mean naked - it means sexy. It means empowered. It means sensual. And those feelings and emotions are experienced in different ways by each individual person. If you have any questions or would be interested in a Boudoir Session, please feel free to reach out!
